TOMAHAWK TURBO MILL

Process material outside, distribute inside for increased bio security

A quick fit connection to the Tomahawk outside enables bedding material to be spread with a flexible tube or fixed manifold system. Disturbance of livestock is minimized, and the risk of bio contamination is reduced. Load the bale into the Tomahawk Turbo Mill and set the tractor PTO running. Direct drive to the mill rotor is engaged and the onboard pump provides hydraulic power to the booster fan. Designed to Process and Distribute baled material with a moisture content up to 20%. Select the appropriate screen in the mill (10mm - 50mm) to produce the length of material required. Engage the tractor PTO and the high speed turbo fan delivers processed material at a high rate for the operator. The high speed fan can be connected to various delivery systems. e.g. 127mm (5”) diameter pipe/manifold.

TOMAHAWK 404M-505M-505XLM BALE PROCESSOR

Fast effective milling of straw and miscanthus to a very consistent chop length

Blow straw up to 30', discharge to one or both sides of the tractor. Alternative delivery chutes are available to suit your requirements. The Tomahawk 404M, 505M and 505XLM bale processors use blades or hammers to chop dry material small enough to pass through the holes in a screen. A range of screens are available with holes from 15mm to 36mm to obtain material of a consistent chop length.  Easy control of output by adjusting the speed of drum rotation.

• Tomahawk 404M - Suitable for 1.2m (4') diameter bales.
• Tomahawk 505M - Suitable for 1.5m (5') diameter bales.
• Tomahawk 505XLM - Suitable for 1.5m (5') diameter bales and full size Hesston bales.

Various drum extensions are available for ease of operation or to accommodate larger rectangular bales. The 404M/505M/505XLM range is suitable for dry material only, and will not cut silage as it will block the mill sieve.

TOMAHAWK 4040-5050-5050XL BALE PROCESSOR

Chop and feed bales of silage, alongside barriers or into ring feeders, allowing greater intake of silage with less wastage

The Tomahawk Drum models are economical, simple and robust. There are no gearboxes, with the drive to the rotor being direct from the tractor, a hydraulic motor is used to rotate the drum. Due to their simplicity and strength, customers can expect a long service life from their Tomahawk. Provides an even and absorbent bed of straw. Baled silage that is lightly shredded with a Tomahawk is more palatable and easily consumed. Blow straw up to 35', discharge to one or both sides of the tractor. Alternative delivery chutes are available to suit your requirements. Discharge silage to the right hand side only into a ring feeder or along a feed barrier. The Tomahawk 4040, 5050 and 5050XLM Bale Processor models use blades to chop dry or wet material. With very wet material the chop length may be as low as 4cm, and dry material will be around 15cm long. Easy control of output by adjusting the speed of the drum rotation.

TOMAHAWK 8500 FEEDER/BEDDER

The Professionals' choice

Straw is lightly shredded improving moisture absorbance and livestock comfort, as the straw is not chopped the bed retains it's structure and provides an hygienic environment. Silage that is lightly shredded with a Tomahawk 8500 is more palatable and easily consumed. Wide body ensures easy loading and offers 4.5m³ capacity, for feeding baled and clamp silage. Larger fan in a Hardox housing spreads straw up to 22m from rectangular or round bales. Greater output, more consistent feed rate, controlled delivery at low fan speeds, also available with Side Chute or in ‘Dual Chop version’ for long or short straw at the touch of a button. With simple and robust driveline and controls, the Tomahawk works harder for you 24/7 every day of the year.

TOMAHAWK 8555 DUAL CHOP FEEDER/BEDDER

The most versatile model in Tomahawk range, now with removable screen and an automatic chain lubrication system

Now you can also process clamp and baled silage with the Tomahawk 8555. The screen which is usually fitted to ensure a consistently short chop length, is now removable through the side of the machine and an optional bypass frame is fitted.

Time and fuel can be saved by processing straw prior to it being added to the ration in a diet feeder, 66,000 chops per minute offers fast and consistent performance. Pre-process straw so that the diet feeder does not need to mix for as long, thereby reducing the problem of over processing the silage in the ration. Chopping down to an average of 50mm, with clean cut ends, means you can achieve the ideal material for feeding to create effective rumen stimulation and increased milk yields.
